The Artist

Nannette Champeau is an Intuitive Consultant and Portrait & Angel artist currently living in northern Wisconsin.  Nannette trained as a spiritual consultant and angel artist with Dr. Francisco Coll, founder of the Americana Leadership College.  When commissioned to paint a portrait, Nannette works with angels and tunes into the energies of the subject and channels the information via the painting.  Through her portraits and consultations, Nannette helps people to better understand their strengths and purpose in life.  Nannette also paints angel portraits, a visual reminder of the spiritual help that is available to us all.

"I was in 2nd grade when I drew my first portrait.  The assignment every Friday was to try to copy a print of an old master’s work.  One day the assignment was ‘Boy with the Torn Hat’ by Thomas Sully.  I remember vividly feeling like something was taking over the crayon I was drawing with and I suddenly felt like I really understood how to paint a face.  I remember thinking ‘I’ve done this before’.  After that I began drawing faces constantly.  By the time I was in high school, I noticed that when I painted a portrait, an expression would come across in the face, and I seemed to have no way of controlling it.  Sometime the expressions were quite revealing.  I actually stopped painting for a number of years as I felt I had no control over what appeared on the canvas.  Once I learned how to cleanse the energy and tune into more positive feelings, I felt confident to paint again."

"When I paint a commissioned portrait, I take a number of photos of the subject, if I can, or have a selection of photos to work from.  When painting a Soul Portrait, I work from photos and spend time meditating on the subject.  The purpose is to help the subject have a reference for their own 'inner angel'.  Sometimes this process takes a bit of time.  I usually create a collage of photographic images first, then wait till I get the feeling to begin the painting.  During this process I often pick up on energies working with the subject. . .this may be past life influences and messages from Spirit regarding particular strengths and talents.  This information is typed up and presented with the finished portrait."
